Four-stage
TE Coolers
Originally MD03 Series was developed as a successor of the MD04 Series, mainly focusing on modern trends in the telecom industry - TECs with lower current and higher voltage. And the main focus was on single-stage thermoelectric coolers only. But starting from 2019, we turn the technology to the next level and apply now our Advanced HD assembly process for multistage TECs. The result is - incredibly compact multistage thermoelectric coolers, with up to 8 times smaller volume dimensions, compared with standard types, without any compromises in cooling performance.
TEC Microsystems introduces 4MD03 thermoelectric coolers - the true masterpiece of TEC miniaturization, 4-stage TECs with the exact cold side dimensions as common types on the market, and 8(!) times smaller volume dimensions. Considerably smaller TEC size allows using these TECs with smaller headers and packages and switching to another form-factor. A much smaller thermoelectric cooler reduces the passive heatload from convection in gas-filled ambiance, making these TECs more efficient and optimal by power consumption. Finally, smaller TECs can reduce final product size, weight and cost. The standard and most common four-stage 4MD03 thermoelectric coolers are listed in the table below.
