MX type thermoelectric coolers have a revised commutation between BiTe pellet pairs inside.  Instead of regular serial connection between pellets, like in standard TECs, MX type TECs have a mix of serial and parallel commutation.  This allows to change the combination of  Imax and Umax parameters keeping TEC cooling performance without changes.  MX type thermoelectric coolers are optimal for situations when TEC power supply source has a limited voltage output.  In cases of single-stage TECs MX type topology revising can be applied to any standard type and reduce Umax by factor 2,3 or 4.  In case of two-stage TECs MX topology revising is applied usually for a second stage only. All MX TECs are assembled using RoHS compliant Sn-Sb solder (Tmelt=230ºC) and meet Telcordia GR-486 standard requirements.  The example of most common MX type thermoelectric types are listed in the table below.  MX topology revision cab be applied to any single stage TEC from other our TEC Series. Detailed TEC drawings, 3D models, performance plots and estimations for particular application conditions are provided by request.
