BiTe material is the key element of modern thermoelectric modules. Bismuth Telluride (BiTe) and its alloys are widely used as materials for thermoelectric coolers (TECs). They are also optimal for use in thermoelectric generators (TEGs) when the temperature of the heat source is moderate. Among different methods of BiTe material manufacturing hot extrusion process is the most modern technology. Hot-extruded BiTe material has the best balance of performance and mechanical properties, perfect for thermoelectric coolers and generators manufacturing. Despite various attempts to find alternatives, Bismuth Telluride is still the best-known commercially used thermoelectric material in the bulk form for cooling and power generation.
TEC Microsystems, being a developer and provider of miniature thermoelectric modules, based exactly on bulk BiTe material, works with the best specialists in the field of BiTe material manufacturing. After successful updates and expanding of BiTe material manufacturing capabilities, we're glad to provide hot-extruded BiTe material in ingots and collaborate with customers interested in bulk thermoelectric technologies.
